Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Scientist to join our team! In this role you will get to perform a variety of environmental analytical data management and validation tasks by applying analytical chemistry, database management, and related software development techniques.

What You'll Be Doing:

Working with an amazing team of experienced scientists and project staff.Creating and maintaining analytical chemistry databases using good practice techniques.Preparing data tables, data quality summary reports, and project planning documents for projects.Reviewing laboratory electronic data deliverables and coordinating with laboratories to ensure electronic data requirements are met.Performing data management tasks using Microsoft Access, SQL, FUDSChem, ADR, NIRIS, ERPIMS, and EQuIS, and proprietary databases.Writing new software as needs arise.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Refer to Job Description for Education and Experience Requirements.Use and application of database management good practice techniques.Knowledge of Microsoft Access, SQL, and Excel.  Ability to code using VBA.Ability to work independently and with a team.Strong written and verbal communication skills.


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

Experience with FUDSChem, AFCEC, NIRIS, LOCUS EIM, and EQuIS databases and associated electronic data formats and data submittal procedures.Knowledge of both organic and inorganic laboratory methodology; specifically commercial analytical laboratory data, laboratory QA/QC requirements, and EDD formats.Familiarity with environmental sampling techniques, EPA and SW-846 Methodology, and DoD QSM.

Salary Range: $72,900.00 - $127,600.00
