We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Laboratory Support Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the daily operations of our research facility, particularly in support of laboratory hygiene and animal care. The ideal candidate will be proactive, compassionate, and comfortable working in a lab environment that includes animal handling.
Key Responsibilities:
Glassware Maintenance
Wash, sterilize, and organize laboratory glassware according to established protocolsEnsure all equipment is clean, dry, and properly stored for useMonitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report replenishment needsAnimal Care Assistance
Support routine animal care activities under the guidance of veterinary or technical staffAssist with feeding, grooming, and observation as neededMaintain cleanliness of animal housing areas to promote a safe and sanitary environmentTeam Collaboration & Facility Support
Work closely with lab technicians and animal care personnel to maintain operational standardsFollow safety guidelines and contribute to a respectful and well-maintained work environmentQualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in a lab or animal care setting is a plusAbility to follow detailed protocols and safety proceduresComfortable working around animals in a professional settingReliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a teamPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $17.75/hr.
