Job DescriptionPosition Summary: responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Performs routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs. These include:Preparation of samples using standard techniquesAnalyzing samplesPerforming routine instrument maintenancePreparing standardsResponsible for performing job functions in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing America’s environmental, health and safety and quality assurance standardsAbility to become trained and competent on instrumentation including but not limited to gas chromatography, and gas chromatography/mass spectrometryDemonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and productive environment Strong organization with the ability to follow instructions and SOPProactively communicate production and quality issues to managementAccuracy and attention to detailEffective communication skills, both written and oralDemonstrate and promotes the company visionParticipate in laboratory and other meetingsPerform other duties as required by Company managementEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strong sense of initiative, detail oriented with a hands-on approach and the ability to work efficiently and accurately within a fast paced environmentEffective communication skills, both written and verbalStrong team working skills and the ability to conduct all activities in a safe and efficient mannerRegular attendance and punctualityAbility to learn new techniques, adapt setup and test equipment to new situations, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and keep accurate records; method development experienceProficiency with data processing software and Microsoft programs.Able to perform the physical requirements of the jobDemonstrates and promotes the company visionAble to work a full-time shift (M-F) during training; flexible to rotate weekends and overtime as necessaryQualificationsBachelor’s degree in a science related field is required. Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorshipProfessional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in EnglishAdditional InformationThis is a Full-time temporary position, Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm with possibility of overtime.
Compensation : $21 / hour.
