Job Description

Eurofins Environment Testing is searching for a Analyst to join our Organic Prep team for the Barberton, OH site. 

The Laboratory Analyst prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques according to scientific and environmental protection methodology in compliance with Eurofins programs and standard operating procedures.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Demonstrates and promotes the company visionRegular attendance and punctualityApplies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriateResponsible for general housekeeping in his/her work areaAbility to become trained and competent on complex instrumentation including but not limited to gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, ICP, and instrument specific data systems.Works under close supervision using routine and standard methodsAliquots and weighs samplesWashes glasswareConducts all activities in a safe and efficient mannerPerforms other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Requirements:

BS or BA in chemistry or related field preferredAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorshipLaboratory experience helpfulPrevious production-oriented work helpful (awareness and ability to meet deadlines)Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.

The ideal candidate would possess experience with:

Preparation of samples using standard techniquesPerforming chemical analysis using standard techniquesCalculating dataRecording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisorReading, writing and speaking skillsProblem solving skillsTeam participation and meeting management skillsTime management and organization skills

Additional Information

Position will be Monday- Friday 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM, with overtime as needed. 

Pay Range: Starting at $17.75/hr based on experience.

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
