For people managers in specific plants, you will act as point of contact for specific HR topics. You are a trusted partner and will drive implementation of global strategies and initiatives across plants. You will be responsible for influencing business strategy for people-related issues.

How you will contribute

Partner and build relationships with key stakeholders, understanding the commercial/supply chain impact of people decisions to fulfil business objectives, providing an outside-in lens (plant roadmap, people plan, factory of the future)

Drive engagement on the plant culture agenda; coach leaders on the key cultural elements and organizational values – being the custodian of high-performance work systems, and ensure an effective plant learning management

Partner with leadership teams on strategic priorities from workforce planning insights and decisions to talent acquisition, leadership development, early career programs, career pathing, succession planning and mobility, and strategic talent reviews

Leverage data analytics to drive solutions and decisions that translate into actionable plans to impact the bottom line and enable business strategy. Inform and update People Services of any local, legal and regulatory changes in market

Support plant leadership with effective management of time and attendance systems and attendance policies as necessary, coaching plant directors and plant leadership pillar in line with plant needs/KPI’s – support performance calibration where applicable

Lead people process’/impact of any plant transformation with effective change management

The Labor Scheduling Lead is responsible for coordinating and managing the labor scheduling activities within a manufacturing facility. This role involves analyzing production demands, optimizing labor resources, and ensuring efficient utilization of workforce to meet production targets.

The Labor Scheduling Lead will collaborate with various departments, including production, human resources, and operations, to develop and implement effective labor schedules that align with business objectives

Responsibilities:

Ensure the labor schedules are properly executed to meet the production and non-production requirements of the facility, including canvassing/calling-in for OT coverage

Execute the weekly and weekend labor schedules for core team members in all departments including production, sanitation, warehouse, DC, maintenance and Repack

Ensure the timely execution of all tasks consistent with agreements in the Union Contracts

Work closely with Human Resources (HR) and Education & Training (E&T) to identify specific labor needs by classification

Work closely with the Labor, Education & Training Manager to ensure the right skills exist within the facility to execute the production schedule and non-production activities

Participate and execution of Indeavor (site labor scheduling system) including all aspects to ensure an effective system

Communicate effectively both internally and externally and up and down through the organization

Extensive contact with employees and supervision relating to scheduling, vacations, sick leave, and payroll

Monitor and manage labor costs, overtime, and staffing levels to optimize resource allocation.

Continuously evaluate and adjust labor schedules to accommodate changes in production demand, equipment availability, or staffing constraints.

Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, such as overlapping shifts or insufficient staffing, to maintain smooth operations.

Provide regular reports and analysis on labor utilization, productivity, and efficiency to management.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices related to labor scheduling.

Foster a positive work environment by promoting effective communication, teamwork, and employee engagement.

Educations/ Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Proven experience in labor scheduling, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

Proficiency in using scheduling software or tools to manage labor resources effectively.

Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and build positive working relationships.

Knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to workforce scheduling.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to resolve scheduling conflicts and optimize resource allocation.

Work schedule:

Monday to Friday and required OT

Generally, 40-50 hours / week

Open to shifts | Schedule flexibility required

Salary and benefits:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $71,700 to $89,650; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. The salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results. In addition, Mondelēz International Company offers a variety of benefits to eligible employees, including health insurance coverage, wellness and family support programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education-related programs, paid holidays and vacation time, and many others. Many of these benefits are subsidized or fully paid for by the company.
