What You’ll Do as the Labor Recruiting Manager 

Lead Strategic Talent Acquisition 

Design and execute innovative recruiting strategies for high-volume manufacturing and warehouse roles across site-based operations Partner with plant leadership to forecast workforce needs, anticipate hiring trends, and build proactive staffing plans Expand and strengthen talent pipelines to reach new and diverse labor markets across the region

Inspire & Lead a High-Performing Recruiting Team

Lead, coach, and develop a team of onsite and field recruiters—building capability, accountability, and engagement year-round Set clear performance expectations, provide real-time feedback, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and results Serve as a champion for upskilling the team's capabilities using technology and AI for effective recruiting practices

Be the Local Market Expert 

Leverage deep labor-market insight to stay ahead of workforce trends and competitive hiring dynamics Build strong partnerships with technical schools, community colleges, workforce agencies, and local organizations Elevate Ashley’s employer brand through community presence, partnerships, and outreach—driving exceptional quality of hire

Own the Full-Cycle Recruiting Experience

Manage the recruiting lifecycle from workforce planning through onboarding, ensuring a seamless candidate experience Lead high-volume recruiting efforts while maintaining quality, consistency, and speed Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements, selection criteria, and hiring timelines Oversee interview coordination and candidate communication to deliver a best-in-class experience

Apply Manufacturing & Distribution Expertise 

Leverage hands-on knowledge of manufacturing and distribution environments, safety standards, and technical skill sets Source and attract candidates with relevant certifications, experience, and production expertise

Drive Decisions through Data

Deliver weekly, detail-driven recruiting reports highlighting progress against key hiring metrics Use data and insights to continuously refine recruiting strategies, improve outcomes, and demonstrate impact

Contribute at the Enterprise Level 

Play an active role on the Talent Acquisition Leadership team Lead or support strategic, cross-functional projects that enhance the candidate, recruiter, employee, and stakeholder experience

Where and How will You Work?

Based in Arcadia, WI with additional oversight of operation facilities in Chippewa Falls, WI Combination of office work and manufacturing and distribution center floor presence Flexible schedule to accommodate recruiting events and candidate interviews Collaborative team environment with emphasis on results and continuous improvement

What Do You Need?

 Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field 5+ years of manufacturing and/or distribution center talent acquisition experience Proven success in high-volume recruiting within manufacturing environments Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements Proficiency with ATS systems, recruiting technologies and use of AI

Preferred Qualifications:

Manufacturing industry experience, preferably in furniture, home goods or related sectors Knowledge of Wisconsin talent market and labor dynamics Experience with workforce development partnerships and apprenticeship programs Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) to support diverse workforce Professional certifications in HR or talent acquisition (PHR, SHRM-CP, CIR)

Exceptional relationship-building and communication abilities for engaging with diverse candidate populations Strong project management skills to handle multiple recruiting initiatives simultaneously Data-driven approach to recruiting with ability to analyze metrics and optimize processes Cultural competency to work effectively in diverse manufacturing environment Resilience and adaptability to thrive in fast-paced manufacturing setting
