The Manager of Labor Optimization leads key service delivery functions for the Northgate Enterprise including the analysis and optimization of labor tasks and scheduling. This position blends technical expertise with practical business knowledge by leveraging the Logile system and other technology tools to identify areas of labor efficiency and close gaps in guest service. The Manager of Labor Optimization leads a team of analysts to ensure the adoption of technology and best practices while keeping key stakeholders informed of opportunities, goals, and progress with the delivery of labor effectiveness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Analyze labor demand, task composition, staffing levels, and scheduling to maximize productivity while delivering best-in-class service.
Partner with Operations, Sales, Finance, and HR teams to update and maintain data-driven labor models. Improve the adoption of Logile workforce management systems, tools, and automation with a strong emphasis on fresh prepared foods. Refine labor performance metrics and leadership dashboards to monitor utilization, efficiency, and service delivery. Drive continuous improvement with staffing optimization, shift structures, and labor allocation. Leverage systems to ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies. Refine and publish internal leading and lagging measurements to assess the quality of labor performance. Mentor leaders in stores, distribution centers, and manufacturing plants on the application of the Logile scheduling system. Collaborate with senior leadership to assess workforce risks, gaps, and opportunities. Supervise, develop, and lead the labor analysis and scheduling team, ensuring success with achieving company objectives. Ensure the maintenance and continuity of the Logile labor system to prevent downtime, ensure data integrity, and seamless integration with payroll & HR systems. Represents labor team functions to ensure the creation of timely and accurate budgets.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS:
Education/Experience/Skills
· Four-year degree or equivalent experience
Demonstrated analytical ability and technological proficiency
· Leadership track record of influencing others and improving process adoption
· Experience with effective communication at all levels of an organization
· Deep understanding of labor management and systems (Logile preferred)
