Labor Assoc Advisor
Overview A very sensitive and diverse role responsible to ensure implementation and manage all facets of PCI’s direct and contracted/contingent employees, their welfare, discipline, KPIs tracking and other statutory compliances. Supports ELR Manager in CBA agreements, MoUs and negotiations, industrial relations, labor disputes, redressal of grievances, disciplinary inquiries and local labor laws. Ensuring periodic audits of 3P contractors and implementation of PepsiCo’s global code of conduct and ethics agenda including International Human Rights Audits. Responsibilities IR/ER: • Responsible for implementing ER Strategy in close coordination with National ELR manager while maintaining sound Employee Relations across organization and especially Industrial peace at Plant. • Responsible to network with government agencies to establish effective working relations to optimize contribution to business performance. • Taking the responsibility of compliance agenda of third-party service providers at Sundar & Agro • Work closely with the HRBP team to monitor trends in employment practices and ensure ER compliances under identified gaps • Leading disciplinary and grievance cases. Supporting ELR Manager in complex disciplinary cases. • Lead employees’ welfare initiatives. • Plan, prepare and lead Annual Human Rights Audits. ER Capability Building: • Building ELR capability for Frontline Managers • Providing OTIF support on clarity of Labor laws and execution to FLMs in order to ensure compliant way of managing floor in the light of unionized environment. Communication: • Ensuring timely and effective communication with CBA/Unionized labor groups. • Timely reporting of floor pulse to ELR Manager and effective engagement/communication with 3P Service Provider ER processes/Operations: • Support in execution of ER Strategy Leading the execution of COD action items • Maintain strong liaison with Org Support department. • Define and identify key gaps and help facilitate support functions in lesser time lags and ensure due diligence of welfare benefits • Monthly payouts of statutory payments • Sharing monthly accrual working with finance department • Support ELR in maintaining the track of agreements and expiries for CBA/Union and frontline workforce • For CBA/Union and frontline workforce acts as a credible advocate for PepsiCo values • Support ELR in working of Annual AOP calculations • Backup of ELR Manager in his/her absence • Support in designing and introducing ER Best Practices and their automation. Qualifications • Bachelor or master's degree in business/economics, Preference to be given to Master’s Degree in HR/Business Administration • 4-5years’ experience • Led ER/IR operational domain • Negotiation & investigation skills. • Good knowledge of Local Labor Laws and understanding of Human Rights Policies. • Experience in Human Resource Core Areas. • Experience of handling Unionized Staff / CBA and service providers.
