Job Description

We’re hiring a Lab Technician to support daily operations in our Analytical Sciences lab. This role ensures lab readiness and compliance through inventory management, equipment monitoring, and documentation support. You’ll work cross-functionally to maintain a safe and efficient lab space.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain lab supplies, reagents, and prepare mediaSafely handle compressed gases and cryogenic liquidsClean and monitor temperature units, fume hoods, and BSCsTrack equipment maintenance and calibration using electronic systemsCoordinate workflows across departmentsManage lab notebooks and logbooksSupport cleaning, organization, and labeling of lab spacesParticipate in weekend/overtime schedules as neededWork in labs handling potent chemical compounds

QualificationsAssociate degree (AS) in Life Sciences or equivalentStrong computer and organizational skillsExcellent communication and attention to detailAbility to lift 25+ lbs., stand/walk for extended periods, and move equipmentFamiliarity with cGMP and electronic systemsSelf-motivated, adaptable, and team-orientedAuthorized to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

The position is full-time, Tuesday through Saturday, with the hours of 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, with overtime as needed.  Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, New York are encouraged to apply.
