This is a full-time position and a great opportunity to join a reliable, safety-driven team! **MUST HAVE test experience such as Taber, Martindale, Crockmeter, Veslic, Instron, and Bally.** As a **Laboratory Technician** , you will be part of the Product Development and Innovation Center team, performing product specification testing to support both annual validations and the development of new products. Your role ensures consistent, high-quality testing results delivered efficiently in a team-focused lab environment. **Responsibilities:** + Follow written work instructions to accurately prepare leather specimens for testing. + Perform specimen cutting with precision and consistency. + Verify the quality of leather submissions for testing. + Receive, open, and label packages and hides from production facilities. + Organize and file laboratory worksheets and test specimens. + Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly lab environment. + Support general laboratory operations and documentation processes. **Requirements:** + High school diploma or equivalent. + MUST HAVE Laboratory experience required, MUST HAVE test experience such as Taber, Martindale, Crockmeter, Veslic, Instron, and Bally. + Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. + Comfortable standing for the entire shift and performing repetitive motions. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. + Microsoft Office experience a plus. + Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends. + Commitment to following Lear’s published Code of Conduct and Ethics. **Click on Apply Now to be considered for these Laboratory Technician jobs in Rochester Hills, MI!** **Pay Details:** $20.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
