You’ll play a key role in second person verification (SPV), equipment qualification, and lab investigations. This is a hands-on role ideal for detail-oriented professionals passionate about lab operations and continuous improvement. Responsibilities 1) Analytical Sample Analysis and Reporting + Accurate, precise, and timely execution of analytical methods and related support activities as per procedures/protocols. Adherence to structured work flow to maximize productivity is expected. + Perform data entry and verification with high accuracy in accordance with procedures, standards, and GMP requirements. + Recognizes suspect analytical results and deviations from procedures, initiating a SARE/Event notice. 2) Routine Lab Activities + Performs routine equipment qualification/calibrations or maintenance through execution of well-defined protocols + Participates in laboratory investigations + Maintain a clean work space. 3) Lab Operations + Training and mentoring of others in the lab. + Executes notification to management when required by procedure or standards. + Assist co-workers to timely execution of duties within any laboratory. 4) Continuous Improvement Initiatives + Identifies opportunities for improvement initiatives in daily work activities. + Troubleshoot equipment and methods as required. + Participates in improvement activities and self inspections. + Cross-train across lab functions. Required Qualifications + B.S/A.S Degree in related field (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, etc.) OR + No degree with minimum 12+ months of lab/qc experience (Analytical instrumentation experience; HPLC, GC, Particle Size, etc.) + Demonstrate strong attention to detail, communication, documentation, and math skills. Proficiency with computers. + Attention to detail lending to the ability to work well in a highly regulated environment. Nice to haves: + Analytical instrumentation experience with HPLC, GC, Particle Size, Lipid Fat Test, etc. + 1-3+ years of HPLC experience (2+ outside of academia) + Regulated environment laboratory experience Work Environment The facility operates in a manufacturing environment producing solid dosage medicine/nutrients/vitamins that go into animal feed products, as well as 'pre-mix' pharmaceutical products. The environment is a mix between standard lab conditions and clean room conditions. The facility includes a full-service cafeteria with hot and cold food options, vending machines, and a lunch room.
