Job Title: Lab Technician Location: Golden Valley, MN Hours/Schedule: Tuesday-Friday - 7am-5pm Type: Contract Overview Global Food Manufacturer looking to hire an experienced Lab Technician tojoin their team. This position is responsible for testing, analyzing, and reporting accurate and timely results for over 6 test methods with multiple method variations . This fast-paced, high-volume commercial lab uses wet chemistry and high-tech instrumentation to test food samples ranging from ingredients to finished products. Responsibilities • Organize workload and prioritize samples to maximize output and meet deadlines • Execution of Food Testing Methods • Perform routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting • Meet Quality control and ISO 17025 requirements • Maintain a work environment that complies with company safety rules • Cross-functional support as business needs dictate Requirements Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma w/3-5 years of directly relatable experience. • Significant attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to be flexible depending on workload. • Proficient in basic laboratory skills: accurate weighing, pipetting, quantitative transfer of solutions and samples, ability to work with care around hazardous compounds, preparation of solutions, calculation of results, and evaluation of the quality of results. • Proficient in the operation of common lab equipment as well as experience with troubleshooting and maintenance of lab equipment. • Confidence in troubleshooting and approaching issues with a solution mindset. • Must have computer application knowledge and be proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, or possess the ability to learn the listed applications.
