Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Animal Care Technician to support the breeding, care, and monitoring of small research animals. This role is essential to ensuring the health, welfare, and proper phenotype of animals used in research. You’ll work closely with our team to maintain biosecurity standards and coordinate with Customer Service on scheduling and order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily animal husbandry tasks including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring animal health and behaviorFollow strict protocols for breeding and care to ensure animal welfare and complianceObserve and report any changes in animal health or phenotypeMaintain biosecurity and cleanliness standards across all work areasUse tablet computers for data entry and trackingCollaborate with Customer Service to manage scheduling and order statusQualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Biology, or related field preferred2–4 years of related experience and/or training preferredPrevious experience working with animals is a plus, but not requiredAbility to perform physical tasks including standing for long periods, climbing stairs, and repetitive motionStrong attention to detail and punctualityCommitment to animal welfare and ethical care practicesComfortable using tablet computers and digital toolsSkills:

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.25 - $21.25/hr.
