Lab Technician
Job Title: Lab TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Lab Technician to join a dynamic R&D team. This role involves working on innovative projects for a diverse range of end customers, with opportunities for growth into advanced technical roles. The Lab Technician will collaborate with a team of scientists and be involved in complex testing processes.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare samples for material testing, including Instron testing on materials such as epoxy and thermoplastics.Execute laboratory test plans to support material and process characterizations, as well as root cause analysis, following OEM specifications.Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members, suppliers, and customers.Manage assigned technical service requests, including documentation of work, providing status updates, and communicating with requestors.Oversee laboratory equipment, products, and supplies, ensuring maintenance and cleanliness, as well as supporting standardization and 5S processes.Participate in quality and cost-saving initiatives.Practice safe work habits, adhering to safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Essential SkillsProficiency in laboratory, chemical, and material testing.Experience in sample preparation and quality control.Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate Degree in a Scientific Discipline such as Materials Science or Chemistry, or equivalent hands-on experience.Experience in managing or running projects independently or with minimal support.

The role is part of the EA Americas Team, supporting various market segments and technologies, primarily catering to Automotive and Durable Assembly sectors. The team culture is cohesive and collaborative, with open communication and a strong focus on skill enhancement. Senior scientists on the team are committed to coaching and teaching new members.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
