Job Description
The role involves sample testing at various stages in the life cycle of raw materials while ensuring the maintenance of quality documentation and adherence to GMP environmental protocols within a chemical manufacturing environment.
ResponsibilitiesConduct raw material testing and chemical analysis using wet chemistry techniques.Analyze samples for raw materials, in-process, and finished products.Maintain quality documentation following GMP protocols.Utilize analytical instrumentation such as GC-MS for testing.Perform Ph testing, viscosity, density, and NIR analysis.Ensure accurate batch records and use SAP for data management.Essential SkillsProficiency in raw material testing and chemical analysis.Experience with analytical instrumentation including GC-MS.Strong understanding of GMP protocols and quality documentation.Ability to conduct wet chemistry techniques and Ph testing.Additional Skills & Qualifications2-3 years of experience in food, flavor, or chemical manufacturing environments, with pharmaceutical experience considered.Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biological Sciences.Experience with instrumentation such as Gas Chromatography, NIR, and various wet chemistry techniques.Knowledge of specific gravity, refractive index, melting point, and residue on ignition.Work Environment
The work environment is fast-paced and consists of a close-knit team. The lab operates on alternating 12-hour shifts, with flexibility to occasionally work night shifts. The team is small, typically working with 1-2 other people at a time. The schedule alternates between a 48-hour week and a 36-hour week, with a six-week training period on the day shift from 8 am to 4 pm. Breaks are flexible, with a suggested 30-minute break for an eight-hour shift. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
