Job Description
The Quality Lab Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the excellence of our products by conducting a variety of tests and checks. This position involves taking cheese samples, performing analytical and microbiology tests to obtain results, conducting line checks, verifying product codes, ensuring label accuracy, and checking product weights. Additionally, the technician will swab equipment to ensure cleanliness and compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities
+ Collect cheese samples for testing.
+ Run analytical and microbiology tests to gain results.
+ Perform line checks to ensure quality standards are met.
+ Verify correct codes are on products.
+ Ensure labels on products are accurate.
+ Check product weights to ensure consistency.
+ Swab equipment to ensure cleanliness and compliance.
Essential Skills
+ High school diploma or GED required.
+ Associate's degree in medical technology or vocational training preferred.
+ 0-2 years of experience in a related field.
+ Knowledge of quality control and laboratory procedures.
+ Understanding of microbiology and analytical chemistry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
+ Attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
The position is based in a laboratory environment. The role offers two shifts: 1st shift from 4 am to 2 pm, and 2nd shift from 2 pm to 12 am, with voluntary weekend work available.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
