Job Description

The Analytical Lab Technician is responsible for providing accurate and timely analysis of specified samples using defined methods and procedures. This role is essential in supporting the company's sales, material management, and production efforts.

ResponsibilitiesPerform sample preparation and analyses according to assigned written procedures, conducting several concurrent analyses as required, and striving to exceed accuracy and performance measures.Examine sample quality and labeling closely, reporting any deviations to the Lab Manager and suggesting a course of action.Assist in maintaining equipment and perform daily equipment checks as needed.Conduct all XRF, LOD, LOI in-process testing or similar methods to support production, practicing good documentation in data entry.Perform Carbon and Chloride analysis using LECO and Titration methods.Participate in shift changeovers and communicate the status of all analyses and needed work.Keep all equipment in functional operating condition, ensuring cleanliness and availability, and monitor equipment and supply needs, promptly informing the supervisor of necessary actions.Engage in open communication and daily housekeeping tasks, ensuring laboratory work areas are organized and clean.Essential SkillsAssociates Degree in a Scientific FieldCollege level lab experience or internshipAbility to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, work procedures, and governmental regulationsEffective presentation skills and ability to respond to questions from managers and co-workersStrong oral and written communication skills across all levels of the organizationAdditional Skills & QualificationsAssociates degree is preferredMinimum of college level Chemistry is highly preferredCollege level lab experience or an internship in a lab environment is highly preferredWork Environment

This position is based in an on-site temperature-regulated lab/manufacturing environment. There are two openings for the 2nd shift from 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM, and one opening for the 3rd shift from 10:00 PM to 8:30 AM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
