Job Title: Lab Technician

Job Description

This role involves sample testing throughout all stages of the life cycle of raw materials, while maintaining quality documentation and adhering to GMP environmental protocols in a chemical manufacturing environment.

ResponsibilitiesConduct raw material testing and chemical analysis using wet chemistry techniques.Analyze samples for raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.Maintain batch records and ensure compliance with GMP standards.Utilize SAP software for data management and documentation.Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation including GC-MS, autoclave, and viscometer.Perform viscosity, density, pH testing, and NIR analysis.Essential SkillsProficiency in raw material testing and chemical analysis.Experience with wet chemistry techniques and analytical instrumentation.Knowledge of GMP standards and batch record maintenance.Familiarity with SAP software.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biological Sciences.1-2 years of experience in food, flavor, or chemical manufacturing environments.Experience with gas chromatography, NIR, saponification, hydroxyl value, and melting point analysis.Ability to calibrate weighing scales and balances.Work EnvironmentJoin a fast-paced, close-knit team working in a chemical manufacturing environment. The lab operates on a 6am-6pm shift schedule with occasional flexibility for night shifts. You will work alongside 1-2 other team members during your shift. The schedule alternates weekly between 48-hour and 36-hour weeks, with 12-hour shifts. A comprehensive 6-week training period on day shifts (8am-4pm) is provided. Breaks are flexible, with a standard 30-minute break during an 8-hour shift.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
