Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Laboratory Technician to support both production and laboratory operations. This role involves analytical testing, documentation, and compliance with quality and safety standards in a dynamic lab environment.
Schedule Breakdown:
They follow an alternating 12-hour shift work week (48 hours one week, 36 hours the next)Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday & Sunday (6:00 AM to 6:00 PM)Week 2: Wednesday to Friday (6:00 AM to 6:00 PMTraining Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (6 weeks)Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Support
Analyze raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.Recommend and implement adjustments for out-of-specification (OOS) products.Certify and approve raw materials and finished goods.Approve shipment samples and associated documentation.Perform microbiological analysis and ensure compliance with micro lab procedures (as needed).2. Laboratory Operations
Assist with purchasing lab chemicals and equipment.Maintain inventory of reagents and laboratory supplies.Support method and instrument implementation and validation.Train new laboratory personnel.Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation.Ensure cleanliness and organization of the lab and surrounding areas.3. Documentation & Clerical Duties
Maintain accurate and complete quality records.Generate and print Certificates of Analysis (CoAs).Perform data entry and utilize systems such as CMMS, Lotus Notes, Oracle, LIMS, and SAP.Assist in reviewing and updating SOPs, methods, work instructions, and compliance documents.Ensure compliance with GFSI, ISO 9001:2015, GMP, and GDP standards.Support tracking and resolution of rework, customer complaints, non-conformances, pest control issues, and more.4. Quality, Food Safety & Occupational Safety
Support and adhere to cGMP, GFSI, ISO 9001, SPC, SQC, and other quality, food safety, and occupational safety initiatives.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, or a related technical field.3–5 years of laboratory experience in petrochemical, pharmaceutical, flavor, or food industries.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
