Job Title: Analytical Services Laboratory Technician
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Laboratory Technician, where you will perform routine testing on a variety of samples in our Analytical Services laboratory. You will provide crucial analytical data for process control, quality control, process development, product development, and waste management.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare and analyze samples using various physical and chemical analytical techniques.
+ Operate sophisticated analytical equipment including pH meters, spectrophotometers, gas chromatographs, and High Pressure Liquid Chromatographs (HPLC).
+ Conduct microbiological tests, including spore counts and contamination assessments.
+ Utilize STARLiMS Laboratory Information Management System and Waters Empower data acquisition system.
+ Search databases for test methods and standards to complete analyses.
+ Record, calculate, and report analytical results promptly and accurately.
+ Maintain laboratory records to meet internal and external requirements.
+ Calibrate and inspect instruments daily, ensuring adherence to safety and housekeeping practices.
+ Serve as Safety Officer for the shift as needed.
+ Manage laboratory supplies, prepare solutions, clean glassware, and dispose of waste.
+ Train team members on waste management protocols.
+ Review analytical data and LIMS reports, and communicate issues with team members and supervision.
+ Diagnose and resolve typical instrument problems independently.
+ Prioritize workload to maintain laboratory efficiency and productivity.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School diploma with 4-6 years of laboratory experience OR a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.
+ Experience in quality control and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Work Environment
This position operates on a night shift from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, providing a unique opportunity for individuals who thrive in nocturnal environments. Our laboratory features state-of-the-art equipment and a collaborative team atmosphere, promoting safety and efficiency in all operations.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $23.00/hr.
