Lab Technician

Schedule: First Shift | Onsite | 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Animal Care Technician to support the breeding, care, and maintenance of small research animals. This role involves daily husbandry tasks, monitoring animal health and behavior, and ensuring compliance with strict animal welfare and biosecurity standards. The technician will also coordinate with customer service to support scheduling and order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Perform daily animal husbandry, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring of animals.
+ Support breeding programs and ensure proper care procedures are followed.
+ Observe and document animal behavior and physical condition to ensure health and phenotype accuracy.
+ Maintain accurate records using tablet-based systems.
+ Uphold strict biosecurity and animal welfare protocols.
+ Collaborate with customer service to coordinate animal orders and delivery schedules.
+ Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility, including working on elevated platforms and performing repetitive tasks.
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or GED required
+ Ability to work on your feet for extended periods, climb stairs, and perform repetitive motions.
+ Comfortable using tablet computers and digital record-keeping systems.
+ Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and engagement in daily responsibilities.
+ Prior experience with animal handling or husbandry is a plus but not required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.25 - $21.25/hr.
