How do we make an impact?

Join our dedicated team in Unity Lab Services as a Lab Support Specialist, where we provide seamless support tailored to our customers' unique needs. We’re seeking an organized individual to handle lab support operations, including glass wash and package delivery. You'll be the primary point of contact for lab personnel, ensuring compliance and efficiency in all support activities.

What will you do?

Perform laboratory services such as order delivery, glassware processing, and biological waste processingPerform specific tasks associated with labware operations, including precision cleaning and sterilization through autoclavingCollect used labware/materials from various labs and ensure dedicated points of use are fully restockedPartner with clients to understand their labware and material needs, providing timely support and ensuring stock availabilityFollow well-defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices, SOPs & Work InstructionsMaintain accurate records of inventory and support activities.May perform other duties as assigned by management.

How will you get here?

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

1+ year experience with material handling required

Good x Practice (GxP) environment or laboratory setting experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesProficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams).Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a safety-first approach.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Physical Requirements / Work Environment

The role primarily involves working independently at customer sites, which may include areas with chemical-based allergens like penicillin and tetracycline. Personal protective equipment, such as lab coats, coveralls, facemasks, and steel-toe shoes, is often required. The position requires regular lifting of 30-40 lbs (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and using equipment like pushcarts and forklifts to move up to 100 lbs. Standing, walking, reaching, and bending are frequent activities, sometimes in varied temperature environments. Overtime work may also be necessary.
