Lab Supervisor - Flow Cytometry

Are you detail oriented, process focused, and enjoy leading others?  Are you looking for an industry leading company that offers growth and stability?  Labcorp is seeking a Flow Cytometry Clinical Laboratory Supervisor to join our analyst team at CMBP in RTP, NC. The Supervisor will oversee our team of Flow Cytometry Analysts and occasionally be required to operate in the wet lab. In this position, you will work in a fast paced, customer focused, and challenging environment, and will be a part of our overall mission at Labcorp: "Improving Health, Improving Lives".

Work Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 12:00pm-9:00pm. The candidate must be onsite for 2 days and can work from home for 3 days.

Job Responsibilities

Supervise the day to day operations of the Flow Cytometry Analyst teamEnsure cases are accurately analyzed and results are reported in a timely mannerDirectly supervise, train, and mentor the team of AnalystsResponsible for ensuring all shifts on the Analyst team are properly staffedResearch and resolve any errors while escalating when necessaryEngage in continuous process and service level improvementsPrepare and maintain Quality Assurance records and documentsEvaluate new process improvements and make appropriate recommendationsMeet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their developmentOccasionally perform bench work as needed in the lab and maintain proficiency/competency in technical operationsEnsure all work is in accordance with state and Federal regulationsResponsible for administering and managing policies and proceduresProcess and maintain payroll and personnel filesPerform administrative duties as needed

 Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements  Minimum 4 years of pertinent experience as a TechnologistFlow Cytometry experience is highly preferredPrevious supervisor/leadership experience is highly preferredASCP or AMT certification is preferredStrong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP and relevant state regulationsUnderstanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and proceduresProficient with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft OfficeStrong communication skills; both written and verbalHigh level of attention to detail with strong organizational skillsComfortability making decisions in a changing environmentAbility to handle the physical requirements of the position
