Job Description
Join a dynamic team working at a manufacturer of hygiene adhesives for various disposable hygiene products including baby diapers, training pants, feminine protection, and adult incontinence products. Your role will primarily involve basic laboratory duties, testing physical properties such as viscosity and density, and collaborating closely with an experienced Lab Engineer. When not engaged in lab work, you will assist across production areas, supporting operators, fillers, laborers, shipping & receiving, and quality control labs as needed.
ResponsibilitiesConduct physical properties testing, including viscosity and density.Collaborate with the Lab Engineer on laboratory tasks.Assist in various production areas during slow periods.Support operators, fillers, laborers, shipping & receiving, and QC lab.Document laboratory processes and results accurately.Ensure samples are properly labeled and stored.Essential Skills3+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.Ability to conduct lab and chemical testing with precision.Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.Strong documentation skills.Process-oriented approach and a team player attitude.Critical thinking abilities.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in lab testing.Capability to work in diverse climates.Adaptability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Self-management with minimal supervision.Ownership of tasks to facilitate progress.Openness to guidance and responsibility for personal development.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The facility is a non-climate-controlled plant manufacturing industrial adhesives. While the area may not be pristine, the workspace is clean, air-conditioned, and quiet. You will sometimes juggle multiple tasks and at other times wait for sample testing requirements. The position is on a team with one manager and one tech on a day shift, interacting with 36 onsite colleagues. This role is on the 2nd Shift from 3:00 pm to midnight, Monday through Friday, with potential Saturday shifts given advanced notice. Required attire includes steel-toed boots with all other PPE provided, jeans, and a work shirt, eventually transitioning to a company uniform.

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, Texas.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
