As a Lab Patient Technician you will be responsible for the specimen collection process, from greeting patients through to preparation of specimens for transportation. This is an important role in patient care and our business, and will let you see the difference that you make in patients’ lives.
Status: Temporary Part Time Regular
Schedule: Shifts are from 7:00am - 7:30pm Monday to Friday, 7:30am- 5:00pm Saturday and Sunday.
Additional requirements: Home base is 1366 Yonge St. Successful candidate must be able to work in a team, be efficient and able to work Monday to Sunday depending on operational needs. This role requires the candidate to complete DOAs and DNAs at required sites, successful candidate will be trained if they do not have this skill set. The successful candidate will be required to assist other locations in the GTA area. Shifts can vary depending on site the operational needs and candidate will need to be able to assist.

Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent are preferred. Phlebotomy experience is an asset. ECG training or experience is an asset Excellent communication skills. Good computer skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm. Strong customer/patient service with the ability to relate to patients and clients even in stressful situations Strong empathy, flexibility, adaptability to change, and problem solving skills Ability to maintain the strictest standards of patient privacy and confidentiality.
