Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is currently looking to hire Laboratory Clerk role for their client in Lake Success, NY . **Job Title:** Lab Clerk **Location:** 2800 Marcus Ave, Suite 103, Lake Success, NY 11042 **Schedule:** Monday – Friday, 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM **Occasional Weekends:** Some Saturdays and Sundays as needed **Dress Code:** Scrubs **Pay - 21.71/HR** **Job Summary:** We are looking for a a detail-oriented **Lab clerk** to join our client’s evening laboratory team. This position plays a vital role in the accurate intake and processing of patient specimens, ensuring the timely and correct routing of samples to the appropriate laboratory departments. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced medical environment. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Accession incoming specimens** accurately according to the requisition method (manual or electronic). + **Verify patient identity** by cross-checking specimen labels and requisitions to ensure they match. + **Enter detailed patient data** and requested tests into the laboratory information system (LIS) with accuracy. + **Label and route specimens** to the appropriate lab departments for testing. + **Maintain workstation hygiene** , including regular disinfection of the workspace. + Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and in compliance with lab policies and procedures. + Communicate clearly with team members and follow all safety protocols. **Qualifications:** + **No prior experience required** – training will be provided. + No certification required. **Preferred Attributes (Nice to Have):** + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills + Basic computer skills and data entry accuracy + Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment + Dependable and punctual with strong communication skills Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
