Job details We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Lab Assistant to support daily operations in a fast-paced laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will assist with ordering and stocking of reagents and consumable supplies, cleaning of labs, organization of paperwork and general lab upkeep to ensure efficient and accurate testing procedures. Responsibilities:
Ordering of lab chemicals, reagents, and consumables
Pick up of orders from warehouse
Management of chemical and consumable inventory; stocking, restocking and assignment of expiry dates
Dispose of expired chemicals, reagents, and consumables
Housekeeping of labs
Gather pipettes for calibration, drop off and pick up monthly
Daily check liquid nitrogen tanks and coordinate facility to replenish the empty onesCO2 incubator daily read out and routine cleaning
Glassware cleaning
Scanning of Documents as needed
Perform other duties as assigned

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Prior laboratory or scientific experience is a plus, but not required-training will be provided.

Education:
High School

Experience:
0-1 years

Qualifications:
Ability to follow safety procedures outlined in the Chemical Hygiene Plan
Utilize SDS sheets to properly assess chemical hazards, spill response procedures, and PPE requirements if indicated
Excellent attention to detail
Computer proficiency required
Ability to accurately complete required documentation
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent organization
