Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Assistant to support a dynamic laboratory team in Kansas City. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the quality and integrity of analytical data, supporting process control, quality assurance, and product development. The role is fast-paced and includes working rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine analytical testing in accordance with established protocols and work instructions.

Prepare solutions, clean glassware, manage waste disposal, and assist with general lab operations.

Operate and support basic laboratory instrumentation, including HPLC and GC systems.

Conduct basic preventative maintenance and communicate instrument issues to lab leadership.

Enter and review data in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Chromatography Data Systems (CDS).

Record, calculate, and report analytical results promptly and accurately.

Monitor supply inventory, communicate needs, and ensure lab readiness.

Support safety programs by following good housekeeping practices and hazardous waste regulations.

Collaborate with team members, alert supervisors to discrepancies, and assist in process improvements.

Qualifications

High school diploma with at least 1 year of laboratory experience required.

3+ years of laboratory experience preferred.

Basic knowledge of HPLC and GC operations is a plus.

Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and effective communication skills.

Comfortable working rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
