Department: Diagnostic Laboratory – Referral Processing
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
About the RoleWe are seeking a meticulous and reliable Lab Assistant to join our team. This position plays a vital role in preparing and coordinating samples for referral testing with our external lab partners. While this role does not involve direct testing of specimens, it is essential to the accuracy and efficiency of our operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, organize, and process biological samples for referral testingPackage specimens according to partner lab protocols and shipping standardsMaintain detailed records and ensure proper documentation for all outgoing samplesCommunicate effectively with internal departments to coordinate sample logisticsIdentify and resolve discrepancies in sample handling or documentationAdhere to all safety, compliance, and quality assurance proceduresQualificationsAssociate’s or bachelor's degree in a science-related field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, General Science)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communicationAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentPrior experience in a laboratory or sample handling setting is preferredPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
