Job Description

As a Lab Assistant, you will be responsible for conducting daily batch and physical testing for manufacturing operations using standard chemical assays. You will operate laboratory computers, analytical instrumentation, and systems, along with troubleshooting and performing necessary calibrations. The role includes executing incoming raw material testing, documenting analytical data, and supporting plant trial requests. Adherence to good laboratory practices for safe chemical handling is essential.

ResponsibilitiesConduct daily batch and physical testing for manufacturing operations using standard chemical assays.Operate laboratory computers, analytical instrumentation, and systems, including troubleshooting and performing calibrations as needed.Execute incoming raw material testing, ensuring analytical results align with established benchmarks.Document analytical data, audit information, logs, and specifications using data management systems in compliance with company policy.Assist in investigating non-chemical material anomalies occurring on the manufacturing floor.Support plant trial requests as necessary.Adhere to good laboratory practices for the safe and proper handling of chemicals.Perform cleaning and housekeeping tasks for the laboratory and analytical equipment.Collaborate with chemists to perform additional duties as assigned.Ensure regular and predictable attendance.Essential Skills1+ years of experience in a lab or testing environment using wet chemistry procedures preferred.Experience in Medical, Manufacturing, or Food labs.Troubleshooting and calibration skills.Chemical handling expertise.Batch testing and wet chemistry experience.Open to candidates with or without a degree.Additional Skills & QualificationsGood oral and written communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.Adaptability to change.Knowledge of HPLCs is a plus.Work Environment

The position is based in a manufacturing environment with training on a day shift of 8.5 hours between 6 am and 6 pm for the first three weeks. The role follows a 2-2-3 working rotation, with shifts from 6 pm to 6 am. The work environment emphasizes safety and offers opportunities for career advancement.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
