Job Description

As a Lab Assistant, you will assist the prep staff by labeling containers, washing glassware, and transporting samples to appropriate locations. This role is dynamic, requiring you to be on your feet all day and maintain a high attention to detail. Initially, you will be trained for a year in preparation duties, with the potential to apply for lab positions thereafter.

ResponsibilitiesReduce samples to powder or liquid form using liquid nitrogen.Label and store samples accurately.Follow company regulations with strong attention to detail and documentation.Utilize a 5lb hammer for grinding samples.Stand for the majority of the day (90%+).Be flexible to average 5 hours of overtime per week based on workload.Essential SkillsLab assistant experienceSample preparation and managementExperience in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or environmental scienceHigh attention to detail and documentation under GLP regulationsAbility to work independently and reliably1+ years of experience with Microsoft Word and ExcelAdditional Skills & QualificationsAssociate's degree in Biotechnology with 2 years of industry lab experience orHigh School diploma with 3-4+ years of repetitive work experience and the ability to lift 40-50 lbsWork Environment

You will work in a vibrant and loud prep lab environment due to the use of hammers. The atmosphere is fun and engaging, with opportunities for career advancement within the team. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.17 - $20.17/hr.
