Job Description
We are seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support our testing lab. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to multi-task efficiently, possess experience working in a laboratory setting, have strong interpersonal communication skills, and exhibit a passion for science. The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for maintaining regular communication with research personnel, monitoring research progress, and performing quality control tests.
ResponsibilitiesReceive incoming samples for testing and enter all pertinent information into the Laboratory Information Maintenance System (LIMs).Review information for completeness and release samples ready for testing to the laboratory.Receive laboratory consumables, chemicals, and standards.Maintain good laboratory housekeeping practices, clean testing equipment and work areas.Clean glassware and perform lab maintenance.Perform chemical waste disposal while complying with safety rules and using proper protective equipment.Execute and organize departmental purchasing of consumables and chemicals and conduct routine expiration checks.Prepare solutions and mobile phases to support laboratory testing.Maintain testing samples storage and disposal.Execute assigned projects and activities in compliance with SOPs, GLP, cGMP, and FDA & DEA regulations and guidelines.Essential SkillsExperience in lab testing and sample preparation.Proficiency in Chemistry.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Sciences.0-1 years of experience.Work Environment
The position offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm. You will work with a team of two in the Micro department (manager and Chemist) and support the TLC Department, which consists of approximately ten people. The role requires being on your feet in the lab with equipment, but also provides a desk area to write off validations.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
