Job Description
As Lab Analyst, you will join our team working on polymer materials used in products for different application and therapies. The content of the job will be adapted to your skill set and experiences. You might for example participate in the quality control studies or work on R&D studies related to these polymer products.
Furthermore, you will be:
Conducting different types of chemical and physico-chemical testing (including ICP-OES, HPLC, UV, GC,IR, …) on polymer materials related to quality control studies or R&D studies.Interpreting experimental data and presenting conclusions to supervisor.Investigate atypical results or Out of Specification results by establishing test plan strategy.Reviewing the data generated by another analyst of the team.Updating/Developing existing analytical method to be compliant with the latest requirements from authorities.Participating in the revision of the procedures.Drafting reports based on analytical results.Communicating with customers for shared understanding of analysis needs, expectations, and interpretation of results.Reporting any issues within area of work (out of trend, out of specification results, equipment issue or conflict in activities…), proposing solutions and participating in investigations.Adhering to the quality systems, understanding, and applying applicable corporate, divisional and departmental requirements as relevant.Maintaining laboratory reagents, materials, and equipment in good operating order.Adhering to general and specific environmental, health and safety (EHS) guidelines.
QualificationsA Master’s degree in chemistry with a minimum of 2 years of work experience.Experience working within a GMP environment is a big plus.Possesses great communication skills in English as this is the working language.Experience with analytical chemistry techniques such as GC-MS, HPLC, TLC, ICP-OES, etc.Background in polymer formulation/process is a strong plus. Be able to work in a team environment and demonstrate an inclusion attitude.Demonstrates flexibility and ability to shift gears between projects comfortably.Good resolution mind, being able to resolve basic to advanced troubleshooting issues.
