Job Description Insight Global is looking for a sharp L3 Data Center Technician (Network) to join an AI cloud platform company sitting in New York state. This is a full-time, permanent role with excellent compensation and benefits. This role will travel throughout the state of NY. This company is dedicated to accelerating their go-to-market time in a big way, so it is imperative for this person to be willing to work hard, take ownership from inception to delivery, and approach every problem with a strategic, open mind. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our physical network infrastructure while working closely with the infrastructure team to build tooling and automation. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our data center network operations. Day-to-day responsibilities: - Physical Network Infrastructure: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot structured cabling systems including single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic cables in our data center facilities - Network Diagnostics: Diagnose and resolve physical layer network issues using specialized testing equipment including OTDR, OTLS, VFL, and fiber inspection tools - Cross-Team Projects: Collaborate with Data Center and Network Engineering teams on infrastructure expansions and network fabric upgrades - Technical Support: Deliver frontline troubleshooting for network provisioning, server deployment issues, and physical layer network problems - Automation Mindset: Analyze routine operational tasks and contribute to automation initiatives by documenting improvement opportunities and participating in tooling development We are a company committed to creating inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
