As L&D Specialist (Standards, Quality & Procedures) - dnata, you will manage planning, analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of learning and development solutions for functional areas to support business goals. You will ensure that adequate resources are planned for and that the learning solutions are delivered as per the programme design and to the predefined standards. You will also manage changes to the requirements and business needs in consultation with the business as per the laid down guidelines and the procedures. This is a full-time role and is based in our Dubai office.

In this role, you will: Plan and organize training need analysis to identify skill gaps amongst the staff on a pro-active basis, define training requirements standards and quality target for business department in agreement with the key stakeholders. Organize scoping and business priority setting for strategic business changes involving business stakeholders and plan communications to engage key stakeholders such as the line managers, SMEs, training management team, safety team etc. to set up expectations. Create cohesive blended curricula integrating digital and instructor-led components aligned to operational KPIs including safety performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Establish an effective training feedback mechanism aimed at continuous improvement of learning & development initiative to manage implementation of performance evaluation results. Drive a culture of efficiency by adhering to the agreed budget and identifying and implementing cost-effective work practices. Employ instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, Bloom's Taxonomy) ensuring educational effectiveness and regulatory compliance. Provide performance consulting to business on ways to improve existing processes and introduce new processes. Design and deliver training intervention in line with organizational/functional requirements to ensure effective and high-quality delivery of training to employees. Develop talent within the team by providing consistent direction and support to achieve business goals and take leadership positions. Enhance team productivity through skills development through coaching & training. Develop expertise in the respective area of specialisation and through on-job observations and attachments, feed-in relevant business data and changes in business environments to the Manager, so as to influence L&D plans and support analysis of business impact for better alignment of L&D interventions. Coordinate with internal and external auditors (e.g. ISAGO/Airline audits) and lead audit preparations and responses. Provide documentation and technical support during compliance audits. Ensure safety of staff and that they have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to work safely by providing support and direction. Implement plans in alignment with the departmental mission, values, goals and policies; demonstrate behaviours to represent and promote these and act as a champion in change management. Ensure that assigned L&D projects are delivered on time, within budget, in adherence with quality standards to meet customer expectations by tracking key milestones. Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in business administration / Human Resources / Aviation / Marketing / IT. Minimum 6-10 years of experience in aviation / Human Resources (e.g. AQF, CIPD/City and Guilds), training, psychology or organisational development. Advanced supervisory skills, planning and organizing skills. Advanced quality orientation & safety awareness skills. Proficiency in data collection and analysis.

You will have an edge, if you have:

Experience in an international airline, ground handling company, aviation services business or other large service sector organisation. Knowledge of training packages, relevant competency and performance standards, policies, legal requirements, codes of practice, national and international standards and industry best practices. Knowledge of relevant instructional design principles. Relevant OHS knowledge and considerations that need to be included in the learning program. Certification in quality, environment and/or health & safety audit. Sound evaluation skills to determine the time required for each learning segment and the overall timelines of the learning program. Sound cognitive skills to develop the learning program content and design its structure. Ability to read and interpret a range of documentation, including technical and subject matter documents. Working knowledge of IATA AHM, ISAGO, IGOM standards.
