Job Title: L&D Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Trainer specializing in Telecom and Data Center environments. This role is part of a corporate university team, focusing on delivering high-volume technical instruction to adults. The position is 100% onsite, requiring a seasoned professional who can serve as a role model and work closely with trainers, managers, stakeholders, and clients to ensure effective deployment of next-generation infrastructure technologies. This contract position has the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

Facilitate employee training and onboarding using approved materials.Deliver technical instruction through lectures, hands-on activities, labs, and assessments.Provide remediation and support to ensure students achieve learning outcomes.Consult with other trainers, managers, and leadership to assess training needs.Track and compile data for accurate training reports.Document employee performance and training outcomes.Review, test, and provide feedback on training materials.Prepare and maintain training facilities, ensuring cleanliness and setup.Stay updated on the latest data center tools and infrastructure best practices.Coordinate and monitor enrollment, schedules, and equipment.Develop and coordinate training schedules.Assess training needs through surveys and interviews.Support the development of new training materials.Communicate training needs and available online resources.Coach and develop Associate Trainers.Travel as needed.

Essential Skills

6-9 years of industry experience in installing structured cabling, preferably fiber.Telecommunication Industry Certifications, preferably BICSI.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).Strong interpersonal and communication skills with all organizational levels.Advanced organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Problem-solving skills and the ability to strategize for better solutions.Professional appearance and demeanor.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience working within a corporate university team environment.Knowledge of next-generation infrastructure technologies.

Work Environment

This position is 100% in-person and onsite. The role involves working closely with a team of trainers and SMEs in a dynamic and professional setting. The candidate is expected to maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate exemplary behavior at all times. The work environment is centered around technology, requiring familiarity with data center tools and infrastructure best practices. The role involves coordinating and monitoring training schedules, as well as ensuring the upkeep of training facilities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $44.00/hr.
