KYC Client Onboarding
Must‑Have Qualifications + 1–3 years of experience in the financial services industry supporting clients with regulatory onboarding and compliance requirements. + Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (required). + Working knowledge of Capital Markets and the current regulatory landscape within the financial services industry. + Experience in derivatives onboarding, including exposure to Canadian Derivatives, Dodd‑Frank SBS, CFTC, and similar regulatory frameworks. Job DescriptionOverview We are seeking a Derivatives Onboarding Specialist. The ideal candidate has hands‑on onboarding experience within investment banking or capital markets and is comfortable navigating complex regulatory requirements. In this role, you will ensure timely, client‑focused completion of derivative reviews, supporting both onboarding and ongoing regulatory obligations. You will collaborate with internal partners and work directly with clients to complete regulatory documentation, address onboarding challenges, and maintain compliance with internal and external standards. Key Responsibilities + Ensure full compliance with derivative regulatory obligations and internal risk controls throughout client onboarding, periodic reviews, and ad‑hoc assessments. + Support clients in meeting all required derivative regulatory requirements. + Collaborate with cross‑functional partners including Front Office, Credit, Margin, Documentation, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Legal, and KYC to meet regulatory obligations. + Act as a derivatives subject‑matter expert to the onboarding team and other internal stakeholders. + Support the end‑to‑end review and onboarding process, escalating complex issues to management as needed. + Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date client data within internal systems (e.g., Fenergo). + Conduct exception management, reconciliations, and data analysis to ensure accurate downstream regulatory reporting. + Promote a client‑centric culture and contribute to strengthened client relationships across the organization. + Identify opportunities to align derivative onboarding with other remediation or review initiatives across teams. + Recommend process improvements to enhance risk controls, client service, and operational efficiency. + Prepare status updates and periodic reports for stakeholders as needed. + Perform ad‑hoc data analytics and support special projects, testing, or regulatory inquiries. + Contribute to a high‑performance and inclusive team culture. + Apply strong risk awareness and integrate the organization’s risk appetite into daily decision‑making.
