KTOS Finance – Lead Financial Analyst

This position will provide financial business support for various groups in the Key Technology, Operations & Services (KTOS) organization.  The individual will report to a Finance Manager and will be responsible for designing, developing, and producing financial reporting and analysis to serve our business clients and assist in cross functional activities. 

Essential Job Functions:

Support the KTOS month-end closing process by consolidating and developing supporting commentary on financial resultsAssist in monthly forecast process for groups supported inclusive of business partner discussions, updating the forecast system, and providing forecast to forecast variance analysesPerform financial analysis to identify areas for financial performance improvement.  Effectively communicate results, insights, and recommendations to the KTOS Finance teamPartner with Key’s management reporting group to develop cost allocation methodologies and perform financial analysis in support of cost allocationsMaintain views of Risks & Opportunities for businesses supported to ensure that KTOS business partners are meeting performance targets.Assist areas supported in business case development provided financial analyses, scenario analysis, and guidance on improving the business case value driversActively participate in special projects and other requests as needed

Required Qualifications:

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field is required2+ years of analytical experience in Finance, Business, or related fieldExperience providing decision support and building client relationships

Technical/Business Acumen:

Strong financial and/or accounting acumenStrong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skillsMS Office with proficiency in Excel and PowerPointUnderstand and communicate correlation between financial results and critical business drivers/measures

Other:

Organized self-starter with the ability to think and work independently and creatively; detail
oriented with the ability to thoroughly analyze and resolve issues with limited directionCurious and proactive personality; interested in pursuing information/details to aid in big picture (“connecting the dots”)Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish solid working relationships with multiple teams and individuals with varying levels of expertiseProactive communicator – willingness to pick up the phone to consult with and inform othersEffective communicator - verbal, written, and listening - at various levels of the organizationProven team player, willing to assist others as needed to ensure that group deadlines are met, and quality standards achievedPassion for continuous improvement especially related to process, accuracy and details.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $60,000 to $70,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
