About the Role
The Knowledge Management (KM) Specialist will share responsibilities for capturing, curating and managing documents as part of Consulting’s Knowledge Management process. The KM Specialist will collaborate with client-facing consulting associates, practice leadership and sales teams for the organization and management of reusable Intellectual Property (IP). The Specialist will drive the KM process, do quality assurance checks and uphold quality standards for the team. The role also involves working with leadership to shape knowledge-sharing strategies and best practices, and optimizing productivity.
What You’ll Do
Knowledge capture, management and governance
Drive Gartner Consulting’s KM process, proactively harvesting engagement-generated content and transforming content into risk-free (sanitized) versions.Perform Quality Assurance (QA) checks, including but not limited to the deletion of client-identifiable references and information, self-proofing/editing, re-templating to the Gartner template, and formatting of Word and PPT files in line with brand style and guidelines.Manage and govern knowledge sites, including pages, libraries, metadata and content audits for relevancy.Stakeholder management, planning and change management
Collaborate with stakeholders, including sales enablement teams, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and practice leadership to understand their needs, priorities and challenges, and work with them to address gaps. Ensure that curated knowledge aligns with Information Management standards, including lifecycle management.Contribute to knowledge sharing strategies and share best practices to ensure KM is integrated organically with Consulting’s workflow. Gather insights and revisit KM processes based on feedback, industry trends and changing business needs.Help establish an organisational culture that promotes and supports knowledge sharing. Collaborate with teams such as Communications and Practice Leaders to communicate best practices, encourage knowledge sharing, and promote awareness of KM sites and resources.Productivity reporting and optimization
Evaluate and optimize KM tools with automation and potentially explore integration with new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI). Collaborate with IT to optimize and integrate KM solutions with existing workflows.Collaborate with your leadership to report KM’s impact and identify program metrics to track and assess KM’s progress and effectiveness.What You’ll Need
At least 3 years of Knowledge Management experience in a Consulting or related Professional Services environment.Understanding of Knowledge Management (KM) principles and information architecture, emerging KM platforms and tools as well as Artificial Intelligence (AI) advancements and their impact on KM.Experience in using SharePoint (setting up new sites, pages, libraries and making updates in the existing sites and libraries) and Power Automate for the creation of workflows to automate and support business needs.Advanced MS Office skills — Word and PowerPoint. Experience working with custom templates and communication via both text and visuals.Passion for AI and a regular user of AI tools with a growth mindset to adapt, automate and optimize productivity.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with proficiency in Excel to track KM metrics and assist with reporting.Strong written, communication and presentation skills to engage with Gartner associates and leaders across the globe.An eye for detail to ensure quality and strong collaboration to work independently or in a team.Good project management skills with an ability to independently juggle tasks, plan and manage day-to-day work and timelines proactively.What Gartner Consulting will offer you?
