Job Description

As a Kitter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials within our facility. You will be responsible for supporting production lines, especially near CNC machines, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Responsibilities

Transport raw materials, parts, and finished products throughout the facility to designated areas.Supply production lines with materials needed to meet manufacturing schedules, ensuring uninterrupted production.Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records by performing cycle counts and reporting discrepancies.Properly label and store materials in assigned locations, optimizing space and ensuring easy accessibility.Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment, adhering to all safety guidelines.Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following safety procedures and OSHA regulations.Participate in efforts to improve material handling processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste.

Essential Skills

Experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or a similar role.Proficiency in operating forklifts and pallet jacks.Ability to document and track inventory, specifically sheet metal.Experience working with heavy sheet metal near CNC machines.Ability to stand for 10-12 hours a day and lift up to 35lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or HVAC-related industry.Familiarity with ERP systems, EPICOR is a plus.High school diploma or equivalent.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Knowledge of HVAC systems or manufacturing processes is a plus.

Work Environment

Work in an air-conditioned manufacturing facility with modern technology. The role requires the ability to lift up to 35 pounds and involves standing, walking, and occasional climbing. Personal Protection Equipment will be required. Hours are Fri-Sun 5am-5pm with a 10% shift differential, and initial training will take place Mon-Thurs 6am-4:30pm. The second shift is Mon-Thurs 3pm-1:30am with a 10% shift differential for hours worked during this time.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
