A Kitchen Steward at Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and efficiency of our kitchen and back-of-house operations. This position supports our culinary team by ensuring that all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils meet the highest standards of hygiene and safety, contributing to an exceptional experience for both Guests and Team Members. 

What will I be doing?

 

As a Kitchen Steward, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout all back-of-house kitchen areas. You will operate pot-washing and dishwashing machinery, handle cleaning chemicals safely, and ensure that all equipment, utensils, and workspaces are cleaned and stored according to established standards.

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

 

To maintain an organized, clean and sanitized back-of-house Food & Drinks area and to provide all outlets and banquets with clean operating equipment based on expected business levels.Ensure the kitchen is clean, well maintained and organised at all times.Ensure floors are dry and clean at all times.Collects and removes trash from all areas of the operation following established procedure.Dispose of waste as per the hotel and authority standards and adhere to recycling guidelines.Ensure waste bin area is kept clean and tidy.Cleans and sanitizes pots, pans, utensils, and other minor equipment routinely used in the kitchen following established procedures.Carry out general cleaning as directed to include sweeping, mopping up, washing up, emptying of rubbish bins and boxes ensuring placement in the correct containers.Always maintain a clean and safe work environment.Report any maintenance and, or hazard issues to the Assistant Chief Steward.
