As a Kitchen Porter for Sodexo in Wellington College, Dukes Ride, Crowthorne, Berkshire, RG45 7PU, you will be a key part of the kitchen team. You'll be responsible for maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness within the kitchen and food & beverage preparation areas. Your cheerful, can-do attitude will make you a major part of everyone's everyday experience.

What You’ll Do:

Wash all crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils, and equipment, as well as food service equipment.

Ensure the following are kept clean and tidy to a very high standard:

Floors & Walls

Bins – inside and out

Crushing and disposal of cardboard and boxes

Fridges & Freezers (with assistance from chefs)

Delivery areas

Maintain cleanliness and safety of working areas.

Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials as required

Adhere to all health and safety, fire, hygiene, and COSHH regulations governing your work, ensuring the correct chemicals/detergents are always used.

Report all accidents (and near misses) to the Chef.

Report any shortages in equipment or chemicals to the Sous Chefs or any other senior member of staff.

Exercise due care and attention to ensure minimal breakages of equipmentTransport provisions, equipment, and other catering related items as requiredEnsure the proper storage, disposable of all waste products in accordance with mandatory regulations
