Summary This position is located at the West Point Club. NOTE: The official title for this position is Food Service Worker NA-01. The "working title" is Kitchen Helper NA-01. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Responsibilities Performs a variety of routine manual tasks in a kitchen or dining area following established procedures Removes dishes and trays from tables after meals. Washes tables and counters. Loads and operate dishwashers. Separates food waste and trash from dishes, glasses, and silverware. Vacuums and shampoos carpets; sweeps and mops kitchen floors. Cleans windows and washes walls. Cleans and sanitizes trash cans; disposes of trash. Clean kitchen equipment such as worktables, sinks and refrigerators. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1. Ability to understand and follow oral instructions and do simple tasks that are easy to learn. Skill and Knowledge: Must have knowledge of basic food handling techniques, personal hygiene standards and safe work procedures. Must have the ability to perform routine manual tasks involving few steps, and be able to read and understand written material. Must have knowledge of basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and decimals. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies: knowledge, skills, abilities, additional screening criteria and other characteristics. Initial Cut-Off Date: Thursday, October 16, 2025 (Applications must be received by 11:59 PM EST). PCS Costs Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest. Allowances and Differentials This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
