This regular, full-time teaching position for our 2025-2026 school year is at Kingman Unified School District's Hualapai Elementary School in Kingman, AZ. "How 'Bout Them Mountaineers" is the phrase Hualapai students shout all around campus. Hualapai is a highly performing elementary school and is home to 800 plus students! School administrators ensure robust support systems are in place for teachers and students, having reading coaches/interventions, a student achievement leader and access to technology in each classroom. The mission of Hualapai Elementary is to provide students with the educational tools to become effective citizens and leaders.

Compensation: Base Pay: KUSD's minimum and maximum new hire salary ranges for teachers include the district's contracted salary, determined by years of experience and higher education, plus state-funded Prop 301 money. The contracted salary in combination with $8,500 in 301 money creates the base wages for teachers, which are represented by the salary ranges. (Prop 301 money is paid separately and not included in the employment contract.) * The salary range for candidates with up to four years of teaching experience is $45,575 - $55,475. * The salary range for candidates with four or more years of teaching experience is $47,575 - $57,475. * Performance Pay: In addition to base pay, certified teaching staff are eligible for an additional $4,500 in Prop 301 performance pay. One-Time Critical Needs Stipends (all critical needs stipends are pending appropriate teaching certification): * Candidates offered and accepting critical needs teaching positions in math, science, and kindergarten may be eligible to receive a one-time $2,000 stipend.
To Qualify: * Bachelor's or more advanced degree from an accredited institution * An Identity Verified Print (IVP) fingerprint clearance card through Arizona Department of Public Safety, or ability to obtain prior to start date * Teaching certification through Arizona Department of Education: One of the following: • Elementary Certificate • Early Childhood Certificate • Special Education Certificate with an Early Childhood Endorsement * SEI, ESL or Bilingual Endorsement issued by Arizona Department of Education, within one year of hire Arizona offers an alternative path to certification for those with a Bachelor's or more advanced degree who would like to pursue a career in teaching. Individuals pursuing a teaching career through this alternative pathway must enroll in a teacher preparation program approved by the Arizona Department of Education and obtain an Alternative Teaching Certificate to be eligible for hire.
