Position Summary
The Kids and Aquatics Manager will service as the leader of our department, and is responsible for the activities and growth of the Aquatics and Kids programming. This includes financial management, hiring, training and supervising team members according to Life Time standards, and delivering exceptional customer service. They will lead a team in a fun and fast-paced environment, who proudly serve our members and guests.
The Kids and Aquatics Manager is responsible for managing the day to day organization, operation, promotion, administration and supervision of all things Kids and Aquatics in the club. Ensures continuous professional growth and development of all team members. Ensures team members provide fun, enthusiastic, safe and engaging activities. They will also oversee and maintain the safety and cleanliness of their perspective spaces.

These leadership roles are responsible for the success and development of additional Kids and Aquatics departments in a designated region and deliver the expected level of member experience and business performance across multiple locations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Manages and supports all Team Members including required training and certificationsCompletes and documents daily inspections to ensure the Kids and Aquatics areas cleanliness and safetyCompletes the hiring process and manages the Assistant(s), Supervisor(s) while providing training, feedback, coaching, and directionFormulates, monitors and manages the Kids and Aquatics departments within budgetary guidelines dailyPartners directly with the membership sales team to acquire and retain kids membershipsPlans, organizes, and executes special events throughout the year to promote value to the members for club participation and increase attendance in fee based programsSets the standard for the Kids and Aquatics Department by providing exceptional customer service and meeting the Members' needs and expectationsPosition Requirements
High School Diploma or GED2 years of customer service experience2 years of coaching and/or swim instructor experience2 years of lifeguarding experience2 years of supervisory/management experienceRed Cross Lifeguard and First AidSuccessfully complete and pass the Life Time Swim Certification Successfully complete and pass Aquatics & Kids Manager TrainingCPR/AED certification required within the first 3 months of hireAbility to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of timeAbility to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and servicesAbility to swim 25 yards/meters without stoppingAbility to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbsFirst Aid certification, Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification required within the first 60 days of hireAmerican Red Cross Lifeguard and First Aid Preferred Requirements
Bachelor's level degreeNSPF Certified Pool Operator (CPO)Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor (LGI)Lifeguard Instructor Trainer (LGIT)1 year of experience teaching or working in a children’s program1 year of experience in day care setting as a lead teacher or two consecutive summers of camp experience with increased responsibilityEarly Childhood Education CertificatePayThis is a salaried position starting at $72,700.00 and pays up to $100,000.00, based on experience and qualifications.
