Sanofi Manufacturing and Supply (M&S) Organization is preparing its future through an ambitious program named Modulus. The Modulus Project is at the cornerstone of Sanofi strategy as it aims at creating a new manufacturing concept consisting of a new generation of evolutive multi-product facilities, modular, adaptable and agile, leveraging new disruptive technologies, to better address vaccine business challenges as well as Specialty Care biological products. One of these two Modulus is implemented in Singapore in a new Greenfield site, with a design similar to the one in Neuville (France). Our manufacturing sites are state-of-the-art, powered by big data and digital. It is the bridge between scientific advances and transformative medicines and will be serving millions of people around the world.

 

The role of the Operational Excellence / Sanofi Manufacturing System (SMS) team is to drive industrial performance to achieve the site’s Strategy and Ambition. The SMS team brings a high level of expertise and leadership in SMS methodology, industrial performance, digital solutions, transformation and change management. SMS teams collaborate with all functions in the site, with platform SMS and actively contribute to the Sanofi SMS network

 

The Operational Excellence team in Sanofi Modulus Singapore is seeking a Key Supplier Operation Leader (KSOL) to drive supplier performance and contribution at the site level aligned with Sanofi Procurement and M&S strategy.

Main Responsibilities:

1. External Spend Pipeline Management

Develop and implement a comprehensive external spend pipeline (BOM & Non-BOM).

Align initiatives with site performance targets.

Ensure pipeline supports cost-saving and value-creation goals.

2. Cross-Functional Execution & Coordination

Lead execution through TIP (Tactical Implementation Plan) approach.

Coordinate with Regulatory, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, MSAT, and SMS.

Ensure timely and effective implementation of initiatives.

3. Strategic Decision-Making

Make decisions on external spend initiatives impacting site, cluster, and global levels.

Prioritize initiatives based on impact and feasibility.

Provide strategic direction for spend optimization.

4. Supplier Performance & Cost Optimization

Improve site competitiveness by enhancing supplier performance.

Control indirect spend across all levels.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) improvements.

5. Pipeline Governance & Value Delivery

Advise on the external spend saving pipeline.

Track and report on value delivered.

Ensure accountability for savings and performance improvements.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies / Language

Strong communication and inter-personal skills, especially in a cross-functional context

Robust project management skills – Able to develop comprehensive workable solutions incorporating the constraints and inputs form all functions in complex situations

Ability to quickly draw the big picture and solve problems – Quickly understand the key issues at stake for the different functions and develop workable solutions accordingly

Ability to maneuver in cross-functional setups and to generate buy-in across different stakeholders

Driver of change – Willing to challenge “conventional” thinking

Leadership skills – Not reluctant to make tough/unpopular decisions and to face conflict. Motivated and able to motivate others around

About you

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Biology, Chemistry or other similar relevant disciplines.

Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in a Pharma/Bio setting, preferably within Manufacturing & Supply

Successful, multi-year track-record of managing complex, cross-functional projects / programs with problem solving mindset

Either technical background (e.g.: manufacturing, engineering), or procurement/ negotiation/ sourcing background, or roles requiring strong analytical skills (e.g.: finance, audit)

Experience in an environment connected with supplier topics would be a plus
