SUMMARY

Responsible for the business result of the assigned accounts and sales area, the Key Account Specialist builds relationships with key decision makers in Hospital Units. He/she develops and maintains productive relationships with key administrative and key decision-making stakeholders, identifying business opportunities, and driving sales growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Make daily field promotional visits, product presentation, seminars, and customer training

Establish strong relationships with key decision makers and committees within the sales area and buying organizations for Hospital (medical departments, pharmacies, procurement etc).

Responsible for the business result of the assigned accounts and/or sales area by meeting or exceeding the sales targets and revenue growth objectives

Organize presentation and coordinate participation in congresses and other educational events, courses and seminars and participate in Third party/Baxter-organized events as requested

Communicate and interact effectively with hospital staff, including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, and acquisition departments to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction

Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement

Develop an account segmentation plan including sales, market share and required resources in co-operation with Marketing

Identify, develop and maintain strong collaboration with KOL’s in the territory

Proactively follow up on tenders for the responsible portfolio in sales area hospitals and provide necessary support and documentation to wholesaler partners enabling them to successfully participate in bids

CRM system management – updating, planning and reporting of field activities, collecting marketing consents etc

Closely monitor and report competitive activities at the sales area level

Collect market intelligence information and customer knowledge

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medical, marketing, and customer service

Work closely with medical, marketing departments in implementing multi-source product sales and marketing strategies/campaigns

Participate and initiate the localization procedure for marketing and educational materials

Stay organized and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and achieve goals

Manage expense budget

Participate in internal business reviews and provide relevant insight about the development of the sales area

Participate before the deadline in all required internal trainings (including PV) and learning courses to maintain an appropriate knowledge level and pass all tests

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor or Master’s degree preferred

Proven experience in Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices businesses – min 2 years needed in promoting clinical use products in Hospital, National Accounts, etc (not primary care)

Be familiar with bid procedures and drug procurement flows in hospitals, institutions

Preferred experience in selling/promoting clinical therapies or products dedicated for ICU departments (ATI), the surgery ward, gastrointestinal area

Advantage to have knowledge in clinical nutrition or IV fluid management products
