**The Impact You’ll Make in this Role**
The Target Sales Manager is responsible for driving growth and achieving the Growth Operating Plan (OP). This role requires a strategic thinker who can develop and execute sales growth plans, strengthen relationships with key business partners, and engage cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
As a Key Account Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
+ Lead the development and execution of strategic growth plans for the 3M Packaging & Expressions portfolio, focusing on expanding sales into Target and collaborating with various buying teams to maximize opportunities. Craft and advocate for comprehensive business plans that align with area go-to-market strategies and the unique needs of the portfolio at Target.
+ Identify and leverage opportunities to enhance productivity, seasonal performance, and space expansion, while leading strategic discussions for online and seasonal growth plans.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, shopper marketing, eCommerce specialists, customer service and demand planners to analyze performance, prioritize initiatives, and optimize promotional investments.
+ Monitor market trends and competitive dynamics to position Target for increased market share, while fostering strong relationships with Target's buying teams and other key stakeholders.
+ Oversee financial management, including the Marketing Development Fund (MDF) plan, rebate plans, and addressing financial discrepancies to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
**Your Skills and Expertise**
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Marketing, and/or Sales field (completed and verified prior to start)
+ Three (3) years of experience in Key Account Sales for Regional and National Chain Accounts in a private, public, government, or military environment.
+ Seven (7) years’ experience in sales/marketing/analytics.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
+ Utilizes effective selling skills and further develops those skills. Requires strong relationship and interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence and communicate effectively.
+ Must have strong presentation, story-telling and analytical skills.
+ Solid knowledge of retail channels, retailer unique positioning and in market needs.
+ MBA preferred
+ Demonstrated experience of effective negotiation skills and strategic planning
+ Advanced analytics/ category management/category development experience.
+ Diven and self-motivated
+ High energy, enthusiasm and creativity

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $188,251 - $230,084, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
