Job Description

This role works directly with Amcor’s Key Accounts predominantly in the shrink overwrap market area. This role provides tactical sales direction and communication strategies to defend existing business and gain new business. This individual will work with stakeholders and leadership to implement business and marketing plans for assigned account. This role is focused on share of wallet growth for the key account.  

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

Drive for results:

Ownership of key account, connecting Amcor’s values of safety. collaboration, accountability, results & outperformance into all aspects of role.Support execution of account strategy as directed by leadership to maintain share of wallet and profitability grow account.Manage account complexities to support customer requirements and anticipate future needsAssist in key business negotiations for new opportunities, supporting Amcor’s interests demonstrating an ability to influence decision and actionsLearn about Amcor, our products, the industry and competitive marketDeliver sales goals including profitable year-over-year growth for assigned territory.

Relationship Management:

Build relationships with customers based upon trust and respectBuild cross-functional relationships to support the share of wallet growth strategies as well as support the commercialization and onboarding process with other key areas (both internal and external)Support Key Account activities by coordinating with Account Managers/Territory Sales Managers nationally to drive a customer centric support strategy for customer manufacturing sites in all regions of the USEnsure Amcor and the Key Account adhere to contractual commitments.  This includes inventory management, and management of quality and service key performance indicators. Network externally to become familiar with key influencers and collaborators within the industry with a specific focus on co-packers, machine suppliers, OEMs, industry associations

Stakeholder Engagements:

Coordinates Sales Management, R&D, Marketing and Field Service in support of validation trials and customer trialsManages accounts receivable as acceptable levels with assistance from the credit departmentWork with Strategic Marketing to understand focus areas to meet strategic unmet customer needsWork with leader on the implementation of defined strategy (technology, product management, commercial) for the market and targeted segments

Reporting:

Report and communicate current performance achievements in terms of sales and marketing contribution to the business unit for monthly management reportingDrive forecast accuracy for improved business resultsResponsible for the management of Account Planning, Pipeline management, profitability improvements, and churn management in CRM tool

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

Bachelor’s degree5+ years of sales experience, preferably within the packaging industryAbility to travel domestically  60%+ of time.
