Water Quality (‘WQ”) Platform is part of the Environmental & Applied Solutions reporting segment and is a global leader in water quality analysis and treatment, providing instrumentation and disinfection systems to help analyze and manage the quality of ultra-pure water, portable water, wastewater, groundwater, and ocean water in residential, commercial, industrial, and natural resource applications. Our water quality business provides products under a variety of brands, including Hach, Trojan Technologies, McCrometer and ChemTreat.  WQ Asia has sales offices in India, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

About Role 

ROLE DESCRIPTION 

Through the management of 4-6 key customers in EMEA/ASIA (China included), the Key Account Manager is responsible to strategically drive growth and expansion of direct/indirect sales and profit margins for TT with the Commercial teams, Subsidiaries and Channel Partners (CP).

In particular, sustains and develops relationships and business with Trojan Technologies strategically large accounts in EMEA/ASIA market (EU, MEA, APAC, CN). The KAM will be responsible for the Global Key Accounts in the 4 regions. The KAM represents the entire range of Trojan Technologies solutions in Municipal and Industrial space (Microelectronic, Food & Beverage, Pharma), while leading the account planning cycle to ensure tight alignment between the local sales teams (RSM, Subs, CP’s, etc) and overall Trojan strategies including execution of Global Account plans.

What You'll Be Doing (Job Responsibilities)

Develop and maintain relationships of trust with assigned key customers.

Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.

Expand the relationships by continuously proposing diverse solutions to meet the customer’s needs and objectives.

Facilitate communication of opportunities across geographies and org levels.

Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams.

Report Sales & Bookings budget forecast and Actual performance.

Participate in funnel reviews for TT Accounts

Work with Water Quality Platform and Regional KAM organizations to identify/share best practices

Develop and disseminate monthly performance reports to appropriate stakeholders

Promote standard work across the network of associates and stakeholders


What We Are Looking For (Skills & Qualifications)

Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering

5-10 years’ experience in sales, key account management or business development

Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations from a “general manager’s” point of view

Experience with calling on the C-suite

Excellent leadership, negotiation, problem solving, decision making, project management, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills required

Understanding of various manufacturing process technologies

Ability to influence others - must be able to inform, convince, and persuade others to action on key initiatives

Sales Familiarity – must be able to relate to the realities of what field sales associates deal with and incorporate that into their process development work

Results oriented - has track record for delivering results, takes ownership and is accountable

Possesses strong business acumen and learning agility

Consistently uses sound judgment and possesses high integrity and ethics

Listens and responds to customer needs with a high sense of urgency

Champions continuous improvement, can work across boundaries and has a “Go to Gemba” mentality

Japanese and English is a Must

Travel is estimated to account for 30% of the time globally.
